FERRYSBURG, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 9, 2025) – The Wednesday afternoon commute north of Grand Haven was snarled for some time due to a five-vehicle pileup
Heavy snow was apparently the reason why the vehicles collided with each other on southbound US-31 near Van Wagoner Road in Ferrysburg shortly before 3 PM. A vehicle had slowed due to both poor road conditions and a previous crash just south when the other vehicles behind it couldn’t slow down fast enough to avoid numerous impacts.
None of the unidentified motorists involved suffered more than just minor injuries, while it took several hours to move the affected vehicles and reopen the roadway. The incident remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
