HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan 7, 2025) – The budget-making process for the City of Holland begins in earnest on Wednesday evening.
The first of two “Coffee with Council” sessions is from 5-6 PM in Chambers at Holland City Hall. Residents and other stakeholders can have the chance to chat with council members, staffers, and City Manager Keith Van Beek about what they believe are priorities that the Tulip City’s leaders should address in their Fiscal 2026 spending plan, in a relaxed atmosphere that has stood the test of time.
The second such session is on Saturday morning from 9-11:30 AM in the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place. Two weeks from Wednesday, on January 23, staffers will present video presentations about their departments before Council members, and then a retreat three days later will finalize budget priorities for Van Beek and his staff to work with. Council is mandated by city charter to approve a new spending plan by early May.
