In loving memory of Craig D. Wierenga. On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 61, Craig peacefully took God’s hand and was led into glory.
Craig was dearly loved and will be missed more than he will ever know. Craig leaves behind: his wife, Amy Wierenga; children Eric (Jamie) Wierenga, Rachael Vangarderen (George Roche); grandchildren: Brody, Ashton, Jaxon, Olivia, Parker and Liv; siblings: Jan (Mike) Tompkins, Daniel (Sue) Wierenga, Jack (Lori) Wierenga; mother-in-law, Betty Brunink; brother-in-law, Shannon (Dawn) Brunink; as well as many extended family and friends. Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Arlene Wierenga; and by his father-in-law, Bernard Brunink.
With his big smile and quick whitted humor, he was able to “spread the cheer,” as he would say. He spent forty plus years as a truck driver, ending his career with Shoreline Container.
He was proud of his accident free career and two MTA championships. His leisure time was enjoying the outdoors with his wife and their fur babies, taking care of his yard and watching nature. And let’s not forget Craig was an ever loyal Lions and U of M fan! When you come to say your goodbyes, feel free to wear your team apparel. It’s our turn, Let’s make him smile!
Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland, MI 49464. Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Hospice. www.yntemafh.com
