HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 8, 2024) – Zeeland is going through some of the growing pains of its new downtown snowmelt system, but snafus are also affecting the older Holland setup.
During this past Wednesday night’s City Council meeting, City Manager Keith Van Beek disclosed a malfunction that will necessitate some emergency action.
Snowmelt has been a part of downtown Holland since 1988, with about 690,000 square feet of heated sidewalks and streets in the largest such publicly-owned system on the continent.
