On June 26, 1965 she married the late Richard P. Francomb, and together they raised two extraordinary children, Gregory and Kathryn. “Lo”, as she was known to most, dedicated her time to making sure her children were educated not just in school, but also at home. She impressed upon them the importance of history, music, politics, science and social justice, taking them to countless museums, exhibitions, movies, and field trips. Her sense of humor permeated all, and practical jokes were abundant in the Francomb household. Lo became a favorite of many of her kids friends and enjoyed these years beyond measure.
Later in life Lo returned to college herself, and earned a business degree through Davenport University, while simultaneously caring for her aging parents and Aunt. Her dedication to others and giving nature were unparalleled throughout her entire life, and she will be greatly missed.
Lorelei is survived by her children Greg Francomb, and Kate (Tom) Halbert, Grandsons Jaxon and Harrison Halbert, sisters Vicky Gesson and Elizabeth Horn, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private Celebration of Life is planned for Spring, 2025.
