UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 2, 2024) – As the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend is now history, the Christmas Holiday season kicks off with a week full of activities along the Lakeshore.
It all begins on Monday evening in Zeeland. Kevin Plockmeyer is that community’s Assistant City Manager.
On Tuesday night at 6:30 PM, it’s the Parade of Lights through Downtown Holland, with over 80 floats, commercial vehicles, walkers and marching bands all decked out in sparking lights.
The third annual Magic at the Mill kicks off this coming Friday evening, as on the first three Friday and Saturday nights in December, the DeZwaan Windmill at Windmill Island Gardens will be surrounded by a thousand LED tulip blossoms in a synchronized light and music show, along with other attractions. Tickets must be purchased in advance through this link.
The Tulip Time Festival is holding a Sinterklaas Shuffle celebration in downtown Holland from 5-8 PM on Friday, and from 10 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, with a variety of activities planned. More information on that is here.
Finally, Saugatuck’s annual Whootville Christmas Parade is this coming Saturday afternoon, beginning at 11 AM.
