It was the Dux’ fifth title win in as many tries under coach John Shillito.

Ben Wellman threw for four touchdowns and ran for another in leading Hope past visiting Aurora in a NCAA Division III Football Tournament second-round game at Ray & Sue Smith Stadium in Holland on Saturday, 49-21. The Flying Dutchmen take on North Central, a 42-17 winner over visiting Whitworth, in a third-round contest at Naperville, Illinois next Saturday, with coverage on The Lakeshore’s 92 7 The Van.
Andrew Miller rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns as visiting Harding wiped out Grand Valley State in a NCAA Division II Football Tournament second-round game at Luebbers Stadium in Allendale on Saturday, 44-26. The Lakers finish the season with a 11-2 record.
