Rogers County authorities in Oklahoma have begun using a full-body scanner to keep contraband out of the county jail, saying that it is a game-changer. The medical-grade scanner shows jailers what is inside a person, rather than simply what might be recovered during a pat-down.
It’s technology that has been in place for some time at the Ottawa County Jail, according to Sheriff Steve Kempker.

Earlier this month, a Cedar Springs woman was sentenced to nine months in jail for creating fake documents from attorneys, and then mailing them into the Kent County Jail with drugs to inmates. Six others were also arrested in that case stemming from April of 2023.
