HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 12, 2024) – The search is on for those involved in an apparent smash-and-grab of trading cards from a Holland retailer on Sunday evening.
Department of Public Safety Captain of Administrative Services Bob Buursma on Tuesday disclosed details of the 9:50 PM incident at the Super Hideaway Gaming Store off of South Washington Avenue. Officers responding to a report of a broken-out window on the front door of the establishment say that the person or persons involved had taken undisclosed items, as confirmed by the owner of the store who was called in on the matter.
Images from video cameras at a nearby store in the same plaza showed a suspect vehicle that is believed to be a mid-2000’s Ford Focus pulling away from the scene. Buursma added that investigators are looking into possible connections with similar burglaries committed at other establishments in the region.
No suspects were immediately identified or apprehended, and a dollar amount of the merchandise taken was not disclosed. Anyone with any information on the matter is asked to contact Holland Public Safety (616-355-1150) or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
