On Saturday, November 2, 2024, Rosalyn Vander Ploeg, age 93, of Holland, joined the Lord and her beloved husband, Vern Vander Ploeg, for their long-awaited reunion.
Rosalyn was born in Holland on May 29, 1931, to Harvin and Mabel Zoerhoff. She shared her heart and life with Vern, whom she married on April 7, 1951. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and companionship. In their retirement, they enjoyed spending the winter at Nettles Island, Florida, and traveling to many countries around the world. Rosalyn graduated from Holland Christian High School in 1949. She was a member of Christ Memorial Church.
In 2016, Rosalyn was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Laverne Vander Ploeg. She was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Laverne “Kearny” and Viny Zoerhoff; sister-in-law, Bea Vander Ploeg; and her parents, Harvin and Mabel Zoerhoff.

Funeral services are planned for 11:00am Friday, November 8, 2024, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E 16th St., Holland, with Rev. Bill Boersma officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 4:00-6:00pm Thursday, November 7, also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Holland Christian Schools and Hospice of Holland.
