HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 28, 2024) – For the first time in nearly five years, a major candidate in a presidential race will make a campaign appearance in Holland.
On Tuesday, Republican Vice Presidential hopeful JD Vance will speak at the HES Equipment complex off of Blue Star Highway. The 3:30 PM appearance at the construction equipment supplier south of West Michigan Regional Airport is expected to stress economic issues and the importance of voting early, as it comes a week before the November 5th General Election. It also highlights the importance of Michigan in the presidential race, as both campaigns have had a heavy in-person presence throughout the state.
Vance spent some time earlier this month in the Saugatuck area fishing with his son after a campaign appearance in Marne.
The last time a major candidate made a campaign appearance in Holland was in December of 2019, when Vice President Mike Pence spoke at the site of the former Holland Bowling Center off of Central Avenue and East 9th Street.
Admission is free, but registration is required, with an online link here.
