Holland Fire Services to Stage Open House at Waverly Fire Station on Tuesday

HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 28, 2024) – It’s a coming out party of sorts for the Holland Department of Public Safety’s Fire Services on Tuesday evening.

From 5:30 to 8 PM, the public is invited to tour the new Waverly Fire Station (761 S. Waverly Rd.), near the junction of Waverly Road and East 32nd Street. The 21,000-square foot facility, built at a cost of $12.5 million, opened for use in May after 18 months of construction.

Holland Fire Marshal Bret Groendyke has been delighted with the five-bay complex ever since.

It will enable the department to do its job better.

There will be tours, fire prevention activities and information, and light snacks and refreshments provided during the open house.
