HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 24, 2024) – The second of two National Prescription Drug Take Back Days is set for Saturday.
From 10 AM to 2 PM local time, law enforcement entities, medical facilities and other community centers will be collecting unused or outdated prescription drugs with no questions asked, while distributing information about the potential for abusing medications. Some of those centers will also be collecting sharps and other hazardous medicinal instruments for proper disposal.
Ottawa County Sheriff Steve Kempker remains astonished at the amount of drugs and sharps collected locally.
