HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 17, 2024) – The transition in how the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place is operated has been relatively seamless thus far.
The Sports Facilities Companies took over handling the municipal facility at mid-year when the city’s contract with VenueWorks, the group that initially ran things when renovation of the 70-year-old building was completed in 2018, expired. City Manager Keith Van Beek has been pleased with how things have gone in the nearly four months since.
On Friday from 4-8 PM, and on Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM, the 2024 Autumn Expo from Out of the Barn Studio takes place, which includes a Girls Night Out on Friday evening. A five-dollar admission includes shopping among over 120 artists, makers and small businesses, face painting and other creative interactive activities, special appearances, and raffles to support veterans.
