Governor orders flags lowered to half-staff for fallen MSP officer

LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Flags have been ordered to be lowered to half-staff today by Governor Whitmer in honor of Michigan State Police Motor Carrier Officer Dan Kerstetter.

He was killed last Friday during a traffic stop.

Kerstetter’s funeral will be this afternoon in Grosse Pointe Farms.

He was pinned in his patrol vehicle when it was hit from behind by an SUV when he had pulled over a semi on I-75 near Dix.
