HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 26, 2024) – The 163rd year of classes at Hope College begin on Monday.
During Sunday’s Opening Convocation at the Jack Miller Center for the Performing Arts, school president Matt Scogin wanted to assure the incoming class of 2028 that he understands their fears and concerns.
Keynote speaker Dr. Brooke Odle, an assistant professor of engineering, used the term “imposter syndrome” to describe this feeling.
Hope College officials say that about 800 freshmen and 50 transfers will join the over 3,000 students taking classes during Academic 2025, with an exact number to be disclosed next month.
