Holland, West Ottawa & Vanderbilt Academy Begin Classes for New School Year Today

HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 22, 2024) – The series of starts for classes in Academic 2025 along the Lakeshore continues on Thursday.

On the heels of Holland Christian on Tuesday, and Fennville, Hamilton & Black River on Wednesday, comes the first ringing of school bells for Vanderbilt Charter Academy, West Ottawa Public Schools, and Holland Public Schools, under the guidance of Superintendent Nick Cassidy.

Cassidy is optimistic about continued growth in enrollment when the first student count for state per-pupil aid determination comes on October 2nd, and he cites some infrastructure changes for the district.

Next week, Eagle Crest Charter Academy and Zeeland Christian School begins on Monday; Saugatuck Public Schools and Calvary Schools of Holland is on Tuesday; and Zeeland Public Schools wrap up the starting run on Wednesday.
