ALLENDALE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 22, 2024) – Wednesday was move-in day in Allendale.
About 45 hundred freshmen descended on Grand Valley State’s main campus, as well as at its Grand Rapids complex, to begin their first year of studies. School President Philomena Mantella was among those on the proverbial welcome wagon for these newcomers.
Although final enrollment numbers won’t be available until sometime next month, GVSU officials say that the overall count this fall is expected to be similar to that of a year ago, based on a record number of applicants and strong year-over-year retention. Classes begin on Monday.
