He was a lifelong photographer since he picked up a camera as a boy. His passion went so deep that he built a darkroom in an unused milk house on their family farm. His love of film developed into a career of using his photography in advertisements and weddings.
“Having faith in God and serving others is what life is about” – This was a special saying and way of life that initially drew Candy to Terry. He was Candy’s biggest fan. He loved her deeply and was very interested in everything she was sewing, creating, or crafting. Together they supported Putting Prayers to Action in the Appalachian Mountains, as well as NICU Helping Hands, which provided angel gowns.
Terry loved his kids and grandkids through all of life’s ups and downs, and found great joy in spending time with them. Not only did he love and serve his family, he loved and served others with joy and in Jesus’ name.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents George and Margaret Bowersox; grandson Asher DeWyse; sister Kathy Bowersox; and brother Doug Bowersox.
He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years Candy Lynch-Bowersox; children Aaron Bowersox, Erik Bowersox (Lynell Otis), Kristin (Jason) DeWyse, Jeff Lynch, and Karen (Mark) Brouwer. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and sister Sue (Eric) Seymour.
The family extends deep and sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff of Douglas Cove for their compassionate care during Terry’s last months.
