Ruth E. Staat

Ruth Elaine Staat, age 96, of Zeeland, died Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at an area care center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; children, Vern and Sandy Staat, Darlene and Randy Wabeke; grandson, Bradley Staat.

Ruth was a Charter Member of Holland Heights Christian Reformed Church.

She is survived by her children, Carol and Jim Marcus, Mary and Bob Kruithof, Carl and Rhonda Staat, Dave Staat; ten grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter; sister, Harriet Veele; in-laws, Rose Bush, Nick and Karen Staat, Irene Wagner, Jim Staat, Judy Staat, Wilma Busscher, Lil Busscher, Rose Busscher and Bryon Van Til.

A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2024, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. A time of visitation and fellowship will follow the service from 11:00 a.m. until noon.
