HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, July 25, 2024) – For the second time this year, and for the just second time since it became law in Michigan in 2022, voters across the state will have a nine-day window to cast ballots ahead of an election.
This early voting window is from Saturday, July 27th, through Sunday, August 4th. While the days may be set in stone – or rather, by passage of Proposal 2 two years ago – how it is implemented, and what hours will voters be able to cast ballots, varies from county to county.
Some counties have set up centralized centers that can accommodate electors from various jurisdictions, such as Ottawa County. Clerk Justin Roebuck.
Those locations are the halls in Polkton, Grand Haven and Georgetown townships, along with the state Health and Human Services office off of James Street on Holland’s North Side.
In Allegan County, most cities and townships are handling this themselves, according to Clerk Bob Genetski.
Early voting will also be available from October 26th through November 3rd, ahead of the November 5th General Election.
