HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, June 14, 2024) – The Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce has earned an elite commendation from the US Chamber of Commerce.
On Friday, the local chamber announced that it has received a five-star accreditation from the national chamber, “for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community.” The US Chamber’s accreditation program, aimed at facilitating continuing excellence while fostering a pro-business environment, looks at operations and programs in areas of governance, government affairs, communications and technology over a six-to-nine-month period of review.
“This rigorous review includes all aspects of a Chamber’s policies, operations, and programming. When a Chamber of Commerce earns the Accreditation designation, it is widely recognized throughout the industry as a mark of excellence for the organization, as well as its staff and leadership. Accreditation validates a Chamber as having programs that benefit its local economy and positively influence its community.” – Raymond P. Towle, U.S. Chamber Vice President, Federation Relations and IOM
“At the West Coast Chamber, we take great pride in our role as a Catalyst, Convener, and Champion, and we are honored to serve our community. With over 7,000 Chambers in the United States, only 146 carry 5-Star Accreditation. We’re incredibly proud to be among the top two percent of Chambers in the nation.” – Jodi Owczarski, Michigan West Coast Chamber President & CEO
On July 17th, the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, at its annual awards show in Dallas, will award its Chamber of the Year, with the Michigan West Coast Chamber as a finalist.
