PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The 2022 Michigan Republican Party Attorney General nominee Matt DePerno is considering running for the state Supreme Court.
DePerno is a Portage attorney who says several people have asked him to run and admits running for the Supreme Court puts a “bigger target on my back.”
He is charged with former state Representative Daire Rendon and attorney Stefanie Lambert with deceiving clerks to get access to voting tabulators after the 2020 presidential election and are alleged to have shared data with computer experts in their attempt to find fraud in Joe Biden’s win over Donald Trump.
Republican nominees for the November 2024 ballot will be selected at the party’s state convention in August.
