HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, June 4, 2024) – As classes end for Academic 2024 in Holland Public Schools, so too will be the current setup of one of the district’s buildings.
On Tuesday morning, a ceremonial groundbreaking was held for Holland Heights Elementary off of East 12th Street. Funded as part of the Build 21 bond proposal passed by voters three years ago, the project is part of implementing a nature-based learning environment, in conjunction with the Outdoor Discovery Center, according to district superintendent Nick Cassidy.
Students that would normally attend Holland Heights will be educated at Longfellow Elementary over the next two years, during the expected length of the reconstruction project.
