Sharilyn “Shari” Scholten age 83, of Holland, died Saturday, May 25, 2024, following a 10 year struggle with Alzheimer’s. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family.
She was a member of Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church and lovingly supported her husband, Jim, as they served churches in Minnesota, Ohio, and Michigan. She worked for several years at the Lake Trust Credit Union.
Shari is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jim; children, Ruthann (Paul) Wiebenga, Janna (Brian) Dantuma, Jim (Jenny) Scholten, 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; brothers, Tom (Pat) Glerum, Ken (Deb) Glerum; in-laws, Duane (Marlene) Scholten, John (Jan) Scholten, Mary Jane (Ken) Haan; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland. A private family service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, with burial in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Appalachia Reach Out – www.appalachiareachout.com.
