HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 16, 2024) – A complimentary piece to Holland’s municipal financial blueprint was approved on Wednesday night.
The City Council approved a strategic and business plan for the Tulip City during its biweekly business meeting. As City Manager Keith Van Beek pointed out, it set up priorities of maintaining and improving a strong financial position, enhancing connections with shareholders, continually improving the city’s organization, and providing quality services to all shareholders.
The budget for Fiscal 2025 was ratified by the governing panel two weeks ago.
Council also approved a 12-year, $6.5 million tax abatement request by LT Precision, as the Korean-based firm will spend $43.2 million to covert a vacant building off of Airport Court, east of West Michigan Regional Airport, into its North American headquarters and manufacturing operations for building complimentary electric vehicle battery products. Slated for opening by Halloween, the facility is projected to create an estimated 70 new jobs over the next two years.
