HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 12, 2024) – Community Mental Health of Ottawa County is going back to trusted hands as the search for its new permanent leader continues.
Following last month’s announcement of Lynne Doyle’s retirement, effective on May 20th, as the CMH Executive Director, the agency’s executive board announced on Friday that Dr. Michael Brashears, who Doyle replaced 11 years ago, has agreed to return as interim Executive Director. No terms of the agreement were disclosed.
During his initial tenure at the CMH helm from 2008 through 2013, Brashears established several initiatives, including a community care clinic, an access center, and a restructure of the agency’s residential system. After Doyle was promoted from deputy director to replace him, Brashears served with Hope Network, David’s House Ministries and Be Better Holland.
This appointment is in line with board policies set up for filling the executive director position, as an executive transition committee will now be formed by early next month to establish a time frame and plan for naming a permanent operational leader.
Brashears will take over the CMH reins from current deputy director Anna Bednarek, who has been handling the agency’s operational leadership duties since Doyle went on medical leave in January.
