BYRON TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 3, 2024) – A 61-year-old Wayland woman was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash east of Byron Center on Friday afternoon.
Kent County Sheriff’s deputies and other first responders were dispatched to 76th Street and Division Avenue, where the woman’s sedan, heading southbound, collided with a northbound pickup truck, driven by a 69-year-old Byron Center man. The woman was taken to a undisclosed “area hospital” in serious condition, while the pickup driver sustained minor injuries.
No other details were forthcoming as the incident remains under investigation.
this was my grandma’s crash, She is doing good now, she got struck hard, she needed surgery for broken bones, but she is doing better by the day, god was on her side, I’m so thankful she survived, we still don’t know where the car was taken either
apparently the guy in the truck got impatient and ran a red light, slamming into her car at high speeds
