UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 11, 2024) – Ethan Erickson had 20 points as Ferris State defeated Grand Valley State in Marquette yesterday, 87-76, to win the GLIAC men’s basketball championship tournament. Britain Harris tossed in 25 points as the Lakers end the season at 16-15.
Rylie Bisballe scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Grand Valley State downed visiting Northern Michigan in Allendale yesterday, 67-48, to win the GLIAC women’s basketball championship tournament. The Lakers will welcome Trevecca Nazarene from Nashville to the Fieldhouse Arena in a first-round NCAA Division II tournament game on Friday evening.
In state major-college basketball yesterday, Michigan State lost at Indiana, 65-64, and Michigan lost to Nebraska, 85-70. This evening, Oakland faces Cleveland State in the Horizon League semifinals at Indianapolis.
