James A. Lamer, age 80, of Zeeland, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 at Holland Hospital.
Jim was a member of Messiah’s Independent Reformed Church, where he served as an elder and catechism teacher. He loved gardening, camping, mowing, and bowling. Jim worked at Zeeland Lumber for 20 years. His favorite Bible passage was Psalm 125: 1-12.
Jim was preceded in death by his siblings and in-laws, Henry (Bonnie) Lamer, and Betty (Arend) DeKoning.

Visitation is planned for 12:30-1:30pm on Saturday, March 2, at Messiah’s Independent Reformed Church, A-4528 48th St., Holland; and the funeral service will follow at 2:00pm, also at the church. Dr. Breno Macedo will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Divine Hope Seminary and MERF-USA. Arrangements are by Yntema Funeral Home
