HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 20, 2024) – It may be a little iffy to get around the downtown Holland area for the next week or so.
On Monday, crews from the Holland Board of Public Works, as well as from the City of Holland, began work on replacing light poles in the principal shopping district. The project, which will necessitate the closure of roads, parking lots and lanes, in an area bounded by Columbia and River avenues, along with 8th and 9th streets, should run weekdays through 5 PM until next Monday, February 26, weather permitting. City officials say that travel delays are not expected, as motorists will be able to seek alternate routes.
