LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 14, 2024) – Ring up another scratch off instant lottery game big winner from the Lakeshore.
For the third time in a week, the Michigan Lottery announced such a circumstance, and for the second day in a row, it’s a $500,000 grand prize that was claimed. On Wednesday, the department said that an unnamed 73-year-old man stepped forward after purchasing a $10 Holiday Wishes ticket that had a matching number for that award. His plans with the winnings include paying off bills, donating to charity, and taking a trip to Paris, France.
“My wife and I have played draw games since the Lottery began. This Holiday Wishes ticket was the third scratch off ticket we’d ever bought, and when we purchased it, the cashier joked: ‘Remember me when you win big!’” – Unnamed Lottery Winner
The winning ticket was purchased at a Marathon fueling station/convenience store off of Lloyds Bayou in Spring Lake. That retailer will receive a cash bonus for selling that ducat.
Last week, three persons in an unnamed lottery club from Holland’s North Side collected the grand prize in the state lottery’s 500X Money Maker Instant Game. These winners, who also chose to remain anonymous, opted for the $4.1 million lump sum payment instead of the six million-dollar award that would have been paid in annual installments.
On Tuesday, a 64-year-old woman claimed a $500,000 grand prize after purchasing a Ghostbusters instant game ticket in Plainwell.
