UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 6, 2024) – Hope swept a pair of basketball games on Saturday. In Holland, Jada Garner tallied 20 points as the Flying Dutch held off the visiting Trine Thunder, 75-74. At Alma, Gabe Quillan had 20 points and 13 rebounds as the Flying Dutchmen downed the host Scots, 79-63. Hope’s teams return to action at DeVos Fieldhouse this Wednesday, hosting the Kalamazoo Hornets. The women’s game airs at 5:30 PM on 99 7/1450 WHTC, followed around 7:45 PM by the men’s contest on The Lakeshore’s 92 7 The Van.
Grand Valley State split a basketball doubleheader at the Fieldhouse Arena against Northern Michigan on Saturday afternoon. Nicole Kamin and Rylie Bisballe each tallied 16 points as GVSU took the women’s opener, 64-47. Dylan Kuehl’s 16 points helped the visiting Wildcats capture the men’s nightcap, 63-61. The two Lakers teams welcome the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals to Allendale next Thursday evening.
