Holland Community Ice Skating Rink Plans Advancing, Says Mayor

HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 28, 2023) – Some Hollanders may have been resentful or envious by the lead story on the front page of the Holland Sentinel on Wednesday.

“Must See Michigan: Rosa Parks Ice Rink” was the headline of Mitchell Boatman’s story about the downtown Grand Rapids outdoor ice skating venue that has attracted visitors from throughout West Michigan for years. That resentment or envy comes from the realization that a similar outdoor skating facility planned for Window on the Waterfront Park in downtown Holland is yet to become a reality.
