HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 20, 2023) – A Lakeshore-based non-profit aimed at advancing outdoor education and conservation throughout the region is getting a financial boost from Lansing.
On Tuesday, Governor Whitmer’s office announced that the Outdoor Discovery Center Network will receive over $413,000 from the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement and Potential. This grant is part of $50 million distributed statewide for 125 before and after school programs involving more than 67,000 students across Michigan at 780 locations, seven of which are in the ODC Network.
Over the past 23 years, ODC Network has served more than 1.3 million people through education and conservation efforts.
