HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 18, 2023) – Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a car vs. pedestrian personal injury crash on 132nd Avenue south of Riley Street in Holland Township early Monday morning. Upon arrival responders found a 55y/o male injured in the roadway. Life saving efforts by deputies, AMR, and Holland Township Fire/Rescue were ultimately unsuccessful.
Preliminary investigation shows that the victim in the crash lives nearby and was crossing 132nd Avenue intending to go to the bus stop when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. The driver of the car stopped immediately and called 911 for help. This crash remains under investigation and anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call Ottawa County Central Dispatch at 1-800-249-0911 or Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT.
The deceased victim is a 55y/o male resident of Holland Township, his identity is not being released at this time.
