Leona loved her family and was married to the love of her life, Jerry for 68 years.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Leona was a lifelong member of Graafschap Christian Reformed Church where she served in the choir, Women’s Society and enjoyed various Bible studies. Her faith served as an example to us all.
She was an eternal optimist, loved to work puzzles, played the piano, enjoyed many great years at Sandy Pines and possessed a quick wit and sense of humor.
Leona was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert Reimink; brother, Howard Busscher; and in-laws, Don Lubbers, Sandy Busscher, Marge Busscher, Sandy (Bruursema) Busscher.
Leona is survived by her husband, Jerry Genzink; daughter, Sharon and Roger Sneller; son, Larry and Marcia Genzink; son, Steve and Pam Genzink; son, Bob and Jane Genzink; grandchildren, Jonathan and Brenna Reimink, Andrew and Lindsay Reimink, Tom and Jessica Reimink, Elizabeth and Greg Rosema, Joey and Abbey Afienko, Micky and Anjuli Johnson, Andrew and Maecy Sneller, Mark and Lauren Genzink, Katherine and Luke Panning, Josiah and Jodi Genzink, Anna and Nate Weeber, Jesse and Shelby Genzink, Jeremy and Kailee Genzink, Hannah Genzink, Ella Genzink, Sam Genzink; 28 great-grandchildren; sister, Millie Lubbers; brother, Mel Busscher; brother, Rog and Eileen Busscher; brother-in-law, Russ and Retha Genzink; and sister-in-law, Caroline and Pete Jacobsen.
The Genzink family would like to thank Faith Hospice for their compassionate care of Leona.
Funeral services will be 12 noon on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Graafschap Christian Reformed Church, 5973 Church St. Holland with Rev. Philip D. Kok officiating. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, December 4, also at the church.
