DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Governor Whitmer has signed bills that require 100% of Michigan’s energy to come from clean sources by 2040.
Signing the bills in Detroit, Whitmer said they will protect the state’s air, water, and land “by focusing on taking climate change head on.”
She says it’s a huge win for families and businesses.
Michigan Senate Minority Leader Aric Nesbitt of Van Buren County criticized the laws as a “far-left, unworkable energy mandate that will further increase energy costs and make Michigan energy less reliable.”
