BERLIN (Reuters) – RB Leipzig struck twice in two minutes late in the game to snatch a 3-1 Bundesliga victory over Freiburg on Sunday and leapfrog Borussia Dortmund into fourth place.
A 79th-minute penalty from Lois Openda and Christoph Baumgartner’s strike a minute later handed the hosts victory.
Leipzig had taken a first-half lead through Xavi Simons before Freiburg levelled through Merlin Roehl’s solo effort on the stroke of halftime.
The Bulls are now on 23 points in fourth place, with Dortmund in fifth on 21. Bayer Leverkusen lead the title race on 31 points with Bayern Munich in second place on 29.
