HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 5, 2023) – One of the area’s fun events is slated for Friday night in downtown Holland.
The West Michigan Fire Prevention Council stages its annual Holland Fire Truck Parade, as apparatus from numerous departments and agencies will promenade west on 8th Street from Columbia Avenue, beginning at 7 PM, according to Holland Fire Marshal Bret Groendyke.
The vehicles will then park outside of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place for 90 minutes of the young and young at heart getting up close and personal, and much more.
The 41st annual event kicks off Fire Safety Prevention Week, held in conjunction with the series of fires in early October, 1871 that struck not only Chicago, with Mrs. O’Leary’s Cow, but also Holland. Department of Public Safety Captain of Fire Operations Chris Tinney.
