OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 26, 2023) – For the second time in a 26-hour span, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of shots fired at a residence.
According to Sergeant Keith Biros, a deputy was initially dispatched to the West Olive Estates complex, off of 146th Avenue and Stanton Street, around 11:40 PM on Monday night stemming from an unrelated incident when he heard gun fire coming from nearby. Residents of the mobile home community also heard those shots, and several persons of interest were detained. While there was evidence of shots fired, no victims were located, and no suspects were immediately arrested.
On Sunday night around 9 PM, Shevell Shelton was slain after being shot at a condominium unit on Holland’s North Side. There was no mention made by the Sheriff’s Department of any connection between these two incidents, and no arrests had been made as of dawn on Tuesday.
