LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel says it is too early to issue an opinion on the constitutionality of Governor Whitmer’s establishment of the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential.
Whitmer last month issued an executive order setting up MiLEAP and Nessel says it is not yet effective and has not yet been implemented.
The attorney general added the program is intended to collaborate with the state Board of Education and not overstep boundaries.
