OTSEGO TWP., MI (WKZO-AM/FM, WHTC-AM/FM) – A 64-year-old man was critically hurt in a head-on crash involving a sedan and a semi on M-89 near Otsego on Tuesday night, Aug. 22, 2023).
No names were given by Allegan County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brandon Berens in the incident that occurred around 8:45 PM on Lincoln Road near 22nd Street. According to witnesses, the southbound sedan was attempting to pass several vehicles in a no-passing zone on the two-lane roadway when it collided with the northbound truck.
The auto driver was taken to an undisclosed Kalamazoo hospital for treatment, while the trucker was not injured, and no other vehicles or motorists were apparently involved. The crash remains under investigation.
