PORT SHELDON, TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 11, 2023) – More information has been disclosed concerning the discovery of the body of a man north of Holland on Thursday evening.
A deputy located the body in a wooded area off of Stanton Street, east of US-31, around 7 PM, and all that Sheriff’s Sergeant Keith Biros would immediately say is that, “Detectives are currently investigating and have determined that there is no danger to the public.”
Later in the day, Detective Captain Jake Sparks disclosed that an autopsy conducted by Dr. David Start, the county’s Chief Medical Examiner, found that the 34-year-old Port Sheldon man did succumb to medical issues, and the manner was deemed to be natural. The man had lived in the area, and his name was not immediately disclosed pending notification of relatives.
Despite the results of the autopsy, the case remains open, and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
