ALLEGAN, MI (WKZO-AM/FM) – The Labor Day holiday weekend may be three weeks away, but there apparently is no time like the present for extra police patrols to be on Michigan highways.
“Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” is again the primary focus of additional state, county and local law enforcement surveillance during the wind down of the summer vacation season, as it was for last month’s Independence Day holiday. However, those in blue or brown will be looking for more that just that, according to Allegan County Sheriff Frank Baker.
These extra patrols run from Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023 through September 4th.
