KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Bronson Healthcare has announced the completion of a new outpatient orthopedic surgery center in Kalamazoo.
The announcement was made on Friday, July 28 following a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 27 that took place at the facility near I-94 and 9th Street.
Bronson officials say the surgery center, which is located on a 52-acre-site, is also expected to develop into a Health Village. And once inspections are complete, the new facility will welcome patients in Kalamazoo and surrounding areas.
The building contains four suites able to handle multiple outpatient surgical procedures to include sports medicine, joint replacement surgery, hand surgery, fracture repair, foot and ankle surgery and general orthopedic surgery.
Officials went onto say that construction began in late 2021 due to an increase in patients needing surgical care.
The new facility is expected to help reduce overall wait times for patients scheduling other procedures at Bronson Methodist Hospital.
