PRISTINA (Reuters) – Three Kosovo police officers were detained by Serbia’s forces in the volatile northern part of the country, near the border with Serbia, a Kosovo official said on Wednesday.
“They were kidnapped by Serbia’s forces in the north part of the country inside our territory. Their car was already found,” the official who declined to be named told Reuters.
There was no immediate comment from Serbian authorities. If confirmed, the detentions may further fuel tensions in predominantly Serb northern part in Kosovo which saw violence in recent weeks.
