HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, June 1, 2023) – Another sign that the health protocols that brought the normal routines of life to a halt more than three years ago are now in the past comes on Friday.
The 15th annual Senior Community Day, postponed since 2019 because of the COVID 19 outbreak, is slated for Central Wesleyan Church (446 W. 40th Street). From 8:30 AM to 2 PM, there will be over 70 resource booths, numerous seminars, and information on all aspects of senior life for attendees to take in, with a box lunch provided.
According to Cathy Blackburn of the event’s organizers, Senior Marketing Group-The Lakeshore Area, the enforced hiatus means that it’s practically a second introductory Senior Community Day.
Melissa Meiste, owner of Nephew Physical Therapy, is just glad to be able to meet face-to-face again.
Over 600 persons had already registered as the new week began, and while walk-ins are welcome, organizers are encouraging potential attendees to pre-register online, with paper registrations available at Evergreen Commons (480 State St.), The Insurance Group (593 Heritage Ct.), and at Nephew Physical Therapy (12723 N. Bellwood Dr.).
