HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 24, 2023) – The second week of the 2023 Holland Farmers Market season gets underway on Wednesday morning.
Market Manager Kyle Johnson says that the shopper who wants good values, good selection and a less stressful experience may want to head to the Eighth Street Market Place at midweek.
Downtown Holland officials announced on Tuesday the start of an inaugural Summer Enrichment Series that will be held on the last Saturday of each month through September 30th. The first session this Saturday is entitled “Let’s Make Composting Easy,” with staffers from the Ottawa County Department of Public Health teaching how gardeners can compost at home, augmented by Master Composter Ken Freestone of the MSU Extension Service providing additional tips. These hour-long series classes begin at 10 AM in the upstairs Market View Room inside of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center place adjacent to the Eighth Street Market Place, with a fee of $10 to attend, and advance registration through this link is encouraged.
The Holland Farmers Market runs Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 AM to 2 PM through Thanksgiving, with Saturday sessions extending until December 23rd.
