LAUP to Host Student Program Graduation Ceremonies on Saturday

HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 18, 2023) – A special night is coming this Saturday for Holland’s Latin American community.

At the newly rebranded Tulyp Hotel off of East 7th Street and College Avenue, Latin Americans United for Progress will host a graduation ceremony for its Adelante and Mas Adelante programs. Those students have met weekly since early September in an effort to improve college and career readiness both inside and outside the classroom.

These programs are part of LAUP’s ongoing efforts on various fronts along the Lakeshore that has spanned nearly six decades, according to Executive Director Johnny Rodriguez.

A reception following the graduation ceremony will be at the Boys & Girls Club of Holland.
